This Is Different - For Many Reasons

Common questions and their answers are below. If we did not answer yours, feel free to ask during your intro call.

Is the UpSurge Opportunity Index only for larger companies?

No. The UpSurge Opportunity Index™ is delivered in two versions to recognize the unique ways that Strain-To-Pain™ dynamics appear in companies that differ in size and leadership depth. Both experience Strain-To-Pain™ loops, but for completely different reasons.

One version is designed for leadership teams in established organizations, while another focuses on founder-led companies and solopreneurs where momentum, bandwidth, and decision concentration often shape outcomes.

Both engagements follow the same process and structure, but the contents of the assessments are different.

Why isn’t the assessment available without a conversation first?

Because the UpSurge Opportunity Index™ is designed as a guided engagement — not a self-serve tool.

The introductory conversation helps determine:

Whether the experience is likely to be useful in your current situation.

Whether expectations align
and whether the engagement makes sense on both sides.

This keeps the process focused, relevant, and respectful of everyone’s time.

Why isn’t the Upsurge Opportunity Index automated?

Because organizational momentum rarely turns on simple metrics alone.

Context, timing, leadership perspective, and internal dynamics often matter as much as measurable data.

Each assessment is reviewed individually so interpretation can reflect nuance rather than flatten it into generic scoring.

That’s intentional — and central to the value of the experience.

Why is the engagement priced at $360?

Because it includes more than access to an assessment.

Each engagement involves individual review, interpretive preparation, and a confidential 90-minute discussion focused on clarity, perspective, and strategic awareness.

For many leaders, even a single useful insight can outweigh the investment.

The introductory call helps determine whether that value is likely before any commitment is made.

What if I complete the assessment but don’t schedule the review session?

The engagement is designed as a complete interpretive experience.

Observations and insights are explored during the confidential review conversation.

Completing the assessment alone does not constitute delivery of interpretive results.

Scheduling flexibility is always accommodated, but the discussion is where most participants report the greatest value.

Who typically finds this most valuable?

Most participants are experienced leaders, founders, or owners who:

  • Already run functioning organizations.
  • Sense untapped opportunity or hidden friction.
  • And value thoughtful, discreet exploration rather than quick fixes.

If that description doesn’t fit, the introductory conversation will clarify whether another path might be better.

Is this consulting or advisory work?

Not in the traditional sense.

The UpSurge Opportunity Index™ is an interpretive evaluation experience designed to surface patterns, questions, and potential areas for reflection.

It does not include implementation, operational intervention, or ongoing advisory services unless separately discussed later.

What makes this different from other business assessments?

Most assessments deliver scores.

This experience emphasizes interpretation, context, and conversation.

The goal isn’t to label your organization — it’s to help you see it more clearly so your own expertise can operate with better information.
